Job Description

Role Overview

The appointed person will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the approach to badgers for the project, including the further development of the badger Management Strategy and licensing for the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with stakeholders through regular engagement sessions and workshops.
  • Develop, execute, monitor, and assure the Badger Management Strategy and Badger Licence.
  • Ensure the proposed approach to badgers takes account of constructability, health and safety, maintenance, access, and monitoring requirements.
  • Support the design team to ensure the ecological objectives of the badger strategy are met.
  • Develop a robust commercial estimate for the delivery of the badger Management Strategy.
  • Support the procurement approach for the delivery of the badger Mitigation Strategy.
  • Identify risks and measures to counteract the impact of these risks to the delivery of the badger Management strategy.
  • Identify opportunities and innovative approaches to better secure the badger Management strategy.
  • Maintain a record of assumptions for the delivery of the task.
  • Define and implement monitoring measures for badgers as required by the badger Mitigation Strategy.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the management and survey of badgers on a construction project.
  • Project management skills.
  • Demonstrable evidence of stakeholder engagement and site construction experience.
  • CSCS card.
  • 2-day outdoor first aid certificate.
  • Pass a security clearance procedure.
  • Undertake a Lantra 4x4 course.
