Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Early Years Reception Teacher to join our primary school in the Greenford and Northolt community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils.
  • Set goals that challenge pupils of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Consistently demonstrate positive attitudes, values, and behaviour.
  • Be accountable for pupils' attainment, progress, and outcomes.
  • Plan teaching to build on pupils' capabilities and prior knowledge.
  • Guide pupils to reflect on their progress and emerging needs.
  • Encourage pupils to take a responsible attitude towards their work and study.
  • Maintain secure knowledge of relevant subjects and curriculum areas.
  • Foster and maintain pupils' interest in the subject.
  • Promote high standards of literacy, articulacy, and correct use of standard English.
  • Demonstrate understanding of systematic synthetic phonics and appropriate teaching strategies for early mathematics.
  • Establish clear rules and routines for behaviour in classrooms.
  • Promote good and courteous behaviour in accordance with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Manage classes effectively to involve and motivate pupils.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
  • QTS.
  • Experience of working within a classroom setting, specifically Early Years.
