Job Overview

The role of a Protection & Control Design Engineer at PWS Technical Services (UK) Ltd involves managing and overseeing all aspects of design during the project lifecycle. This includes initial concept and feasibility, procurement specification, construction, and commissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for 11kV-132kV design and development of protection and control applications.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Protection & Control Design Engineer. We are looking for a talented professional with expertise in protection and control design, including plant/product specification. The ideal candidate will possess an HNC or equivalent in a relevant or related discipline and have a full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage, oversee, and approve pre-manufacturing drawings and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Responsible for sign off/authorisation of protection and control studies and ensuring systems are secure and reliable.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Managers (and Engineers) and Design Team to ensure that all projects achieve programme objectives of time, cost, and quality.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with at least five years experience of protection and control design from 11kv to 132kv. The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel short distances if required.
