Digital Gurus is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer to oversee and manage the company's core infrastructure systems, including on-premises and cloud-based IT services, primarily focusing on Azure.

The ideal candidate will maintain the stability, security, and efficiency of in-house IT systems that support the organization's essential operations, utilizing Microsoft Defender security tools to monitor alerts, assess vulnerabilities, and investigate security incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company's core infrastructure systems, ensuring stability, security, and efficiency.
  • Utilize Microsoft Defender security tools to monitor alerts, assess vulnerabilities, and investigate security incidents.
  • Take accountability for and lead efforts in vulnerability management across all IT systems, aiming for continual risk reduction.
  • Support the Cybersecurity Team in responding to cyber incidents and assist with issues escalated by the SOC.
  • Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues as part of day-to-day operations.
  • Leverage communication, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities to identify, convey, and resolve issues to optimize the value of IT system investments.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure that procedures and processes are well-documented, relevant, and consistently followed.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams to advise on and aid in the implementation of new IT solutions.
  • Assess the performance and effectiveness of current systems and devise strategies to enhance or better utilise these resources.
  • Ensure established policies are being rolled out properly and adhered to across the wider business.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure and security, with experience in Azure and Microsoft Defender security tools.
