Job Overview

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing business to find a highly skilled Project Engineer. This is a permanent role based in Preston, with opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to establish comprehensive financial processes for project approval, including budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure management.
  • Assist the senior project team in implementing engineering strategies and frameworks for assigned projects.
  • Oversee the management of materials, equipment, and labour within designated budgets and resources, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient service delivery.
  • Communicate technical information and procedures effectively to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to project teams by reviewing and verifying their work.
  • Lead or assist with project assurance by conducting audits and holding regular meetings with project teams, identifying best practices, areas for improvement, and concerns related to safety, finance, or quality.

Requirements:

  • HND/BEng or equivalent
  • Strong maintenance/engineering background
  • Experience with projects in an FMCG environment

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Dayshift.
