Nurse Specialist

Highwood Care Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our exceptional team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be at the heart of our mission to deliver clinical excellence and holistic care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident care and interactions.
- Lead and guide your care team to deliver top-notch care, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Monitor resident health and well-being, managing specific health needs and administering medications safely.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
- Promote resident independence and autonomy, while providing hands-on assistance as needed.
- Act on feedback and prioritize resident health and well-being.
- Uphold the dignity and individuality of every resident, advocating for their needs and preferences.
- Encourage social interactions and activities, enriching the lives of residents and creating a vibrant community.
- Prioritize safety and maintain a secure environment for all.
- Advocate for balanced nutrition and hydration, monitoring residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
- Respond to emergencies, utilizing the on-call system and reflective practices to continually improve our care.
About You:
- You're a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
- Care home experience is a plus, but what really matters is your passion for care and dedication to improving the lives of our residents.
- You have a natural ability to connect with people, bringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanor to every interaction.
- Communication is your superpower, whether you're talking with a resident about their needs, updating a family member, or guiding your care team.
