Job Title: Chinese Chef Specialist

The role of Chinese Chef Specialist is a key position within the Executive Chef Team at DO & CO Airline Catering. As a specialist in Chinese cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the production of high-quality Chinese dishes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef team to ensure consistent quality products are produced, following all DO & CO standards and designing new menu designs as per customer needs.
  • Manage and support the Kitchen team on a daily basis, instilling a culture of job pride and ownership, and motivating the team to adapt to stressful situations.
  • Plan production to the daily schedule, ensuring exceptional DO & CO quality is maintained at its highest level, with maximum efficiency, in accordance with DO & CO regulations.
  • Establish production of Chinese cuisine recipes that align with the set pricing structure and customer budget, controlling food costs, and ensuring operations adhere to all SOP's and relevant Critical Control Points.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure specifications are met on raw materials and finished products, maintaining good working relationships with all DO & CO family members, partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Possess a passion for cooking authentic Chinese cuisine.
  • Have previous experience as a Specialist Chinese Chef.
  • Be an excellent leader with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, well-presented, and professional.
  • Have the ability to be a positive change champion for DO & CO, identifying key impact areas and priorities, and supporting change programmes and strategies to gain optimal results.
  • Be a clear and engaging communicator, with strong written and verbal English, and use a variety of methods to keep the team well-informed.
  • Have previous experience in a similar role or a high-end fresh food industry-related sector.
  • Hold the right to work in the UK.
