Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fund Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Fund Services team, you will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of alternative investment fund clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main accounting and administration liaison and point of contact for clients.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring client deliverables are met and a high level of service is provided.
  • Oversee the periodic and annual reporting processes, providing technical input on and review of management accounts and financial statements.
  • Supervise the management of the audit process.
  • Oversee the delivery of key fund administration processes such as capital calls and distributions.
  • Responsibility for the team's Know Your Customer and Client Due Diligence obligations.
  • Review of client payments on a variety of bank platforms.
  • Responsible for ongoing technical coaching and development of junior staff.
  • Responsibility for the client billing and cash management process.
  • Management of finance and compliance-related KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant with a respected accounting body such as ACCA or ACA or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a related role.
  • Experience in alternative investments, particularly in Real Estate, Private Debt, and Private Equity asset classes.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including knowledge of accounting standards such as UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Knowledge and experience with consolidation would be considered a big asset.
  • Knowledge with eFront and/or Yardi would be preferable but is not mandatory.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring more junior team members.
  • Team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
  • Ambitious with a high level of energy and commitment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet a range of deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in leading client relationships.
