We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our Special School in Barking.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, both academically and socially.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students receive the resources they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
  • Support students in developing academic and social skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to ensure continued development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is preferred.
  • Understanding of SEND strategies and teaching methods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to supporting students with special needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
