About the Role

Fleet Tutors is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to join our team of experienced educators. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual learners.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learners' guardians and teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process.
  • Commit to safeguarding and have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex requirements.
