Aspire Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Maths Instructor to join our team in the Rochdale and Bury area.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves planning, delivering, and assessing effective Functional Skills and GCSE lessons to maximize learner progress and achievement. As a Maths Instructor, you will be working with class sizes of up to 15 and will be responsible for conducting initial and ongoing assessments to inform placement of learners on effective programmes of learning.

We are looking for someone who can adopt inclusive strategies to ensure support and challenge for all learners, including those with SEND, challenging behaviours, and medical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching Functional Skills and GCSE in challenging environments and will be able to motivate disengaged learners and plan engaging, inclusive lessons.

The role could cover Rochdale or Bury or both depending on the individual's preferences. We are flexible and willing to work with candidates who would like to work part-time, term-time, or full-time.

Requirements
  • Experience of teaching Functional Skills and GCSE in challenging environments
  • Ability to manage time and workload and work to tight deadlines
  • Subject-specific and teaching qualifications appropriate to the role
  • Able to work effectively in collaboration with all colleagues and stakeholders
  • Genuine commitment to improving the prospects of young people and adult learners
