Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching GCSE English Literature and Language, with a passion for working with students who require additional support. This role is suitable for both early career staff and more experienced teachers, offering a range of opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Teach highly effective English lessons to students in the Formal and Semi-Formal pathways
Plan and deliver medium- and long-term lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
Mark student work carefully, providing constructive feedback to improve writing
Manage Student Support Assistants, directing their work and ensuring they are informed about teaching methods, targets, and other relevant information
Liaise with students' parents, attending parents' evenings and other consultation opportunities as required
Work closely with the Assistant Principal to identify student needs, develop teaching strategies, and create resources tailored to individualised learning needs
