We are seeking a skilled Water Regulations Inspector to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 by inspecting plumbing systems in domestic and non-domestic properties within the Thames Valley area.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections to meet our regulatory targets and ensure compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
- Audit approved plumbers and monitor their competency and customer care.
- Audit RPZ valve installations and ensure they meet regulatory standards.
- Participate in high-risk/high-profile investigations, such as water quality contamination cases.
- Support notifications related to plumbing alterations under Regulation 5 of the Water Fittings Regulations.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Competent in using company IT systems and office software.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and internal processes.
- City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in the enforcement of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations.
- Relevant industry experience and understanding of the business.
- Salary from £29,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- Annual leave: 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 days with length of service.
