Job Title: Deputy Manager - Residential CSE

At CareTech Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Residential CSE team in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager.
  • Support and manage staff to enable them to meet the needs of children and young people.
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.
  • Manage child protection concerns and complaints.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
  • Offer supervisions and support to senior staff in line with care quality standards and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.

Requirements:

  • NVQ 3 in caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
  • Understanding of Ofsted framework (SCCIF).
  • 12 months experience working in a residential setting with young people with challenging behaviour, including supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Team Building Skills.
  • Supervision Skills.
  • Ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and enthuse staff.
  • A Full UK driving licence is required due to the location and nature of the role.
