Transformative Leadership Opportunity in Maths Education

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as an Associate Assistant Principal - Maths. This is a unique opportunity to drive transformation and improvement in Maths education, working closely with our Executive Principal and Principal to shape the future of our school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Maths department, setting high standards and driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement in Maths, leveraging your expertise and creativity.
  • Collaborate with staff across the school to foster a cohesive and supportive environment, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs, particularly focusing on PP students and those with SEND.
  • Manage the challenges of working in a school in a deprived area, turning potential obstacles into opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Current or previous experience as a Head of Maths or a strong 2iC Maths, with a proven track record of leading and improving a Maths department.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others, driving transformation and improvement in Maths education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Creative and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement in Maths.
  • Resilience and determination to drive transformation in challenging circumstances, with a commitment to personal and professional development.
