Pain Medicine Consultant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pain Medicine Consultant to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a senior anaesthesia specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services and providing leadership to our multidisciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, excluding London Zone Allowance. Our hospital offers a range of benefits, including a comprehensive training program, opportunities for career advancement, and a supportive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality clinical services: You will be responsible for providing expert care to patients undergoing pain management procedures and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Lead our multidisciplinary team: As a senior anaesthesia specialist, you will provide leadership and guidance to our team, ensuring that we deliver exceptional patient care and meet our quality standards.
- Develop and implement training programs: You will work closely with our education department to develop and implement training programs for our staff, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
- Contribute to research and publications: We encourage our consultants to engage in research and publish their findings in reputable journals. Your contributions will help shape the future of pain medicine and improve patient care.
Requirements:
- FRCA or equivalent qualification: You must hold a registrable medical qualification in anaesthesia or a related field.
- Full Registration with GMC: You must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and have a valid license to practice.
- Experience in pain management: You should have extensive experience in pain management, including clinics, intervention lists, and pain rounds.
- Leadership skills: You must be able to demonstrate leadership capability within a multidisciplinary team and provide guidance and support to junior colleagues.
