Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke tuition packages to young people who require additional support to bridge gaps in their education.

The Opportunity

As an Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with Prospero Teaching to create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons that cater to the unique needs of each pupil. Your role will be to re-engage pupils in their learning, boost their confidence, and provide structure to their daily routine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to meet the needs of each pupil
  • Work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor pupil progression and support effective learning
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters pupil engagement and motivation
  • Collaborate with Prospero Teaching to develop and implement individualised learning plans

Contract Details:

  • Location: Within the community or pupils' home
  • Position: 1:1 Outreach Tutor
  • Type of work: Contract
  • Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Full-time/part-time: Part-time (15 hours per week, per student)
  • Minimum rate of pay: £22+ per hour

Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching or education
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging and effective lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
