Senior Estimator Position

Recruit4Staff is proud to represent a leading construction and civil engineering company in their search for a Senior Estimator to work out of their London or Swindon offices.

The Role:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate pricing for tenders, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with company governance procedures.
  • Support clients with pricing support for Early Contractor Involvement projects, working closely with the Bid Manager to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Advise the Bid Manager on the sufficiency of client bill of quantity/activity schedule and arrange for full quantity take-off or checking as required.
  • Provide advice to the Bid Manager/Design Manager on the most competitive design options, ensuring commercial awareness and knowledge of relevant procurement legislation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a civil estimating background is essential.
  • 15-20 years of experience in Civil Engineering/Construction is required.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering/Construction is desirable.
  • Detailed knowledge of estimating software packages is necessary.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills are essential, with experience of presenting to clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant procurement legislation and commercial awareness of different forms of contract is required.

Commutable from London, Paddington, Camden, Acton, Hackney, West Ham, Tottenham, Luton, Brighton, Reading, Oxford, Swindon.
