FearFree is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our IDVA team, you will provide a proactive, person-centered independent service for victims of domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide priority support to service users, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Risk assess and develop safety plans to keep service users safe from harm.
  • Enable victims to access statutory and other services, ensuring they receive the support they need.
  • Engage with and support the MARAC process, ensuring the voice of victims is heard and their needs are met.
  • Manage a caseload of high-risk victims, working proactively to support them and their families.
Key Skills and Qualities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with service users.
  • Strong risk assessment and safety planning skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Knowledge of statutory and non-statutory services, with the ability to navigate complex systems.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework, collaborating with partners to achieve shared goals.
  • Empathy and understanding of the experiences of victims of domestic abuse, with a commitment to empowering them to make informed decisions.
