Campus Liaison Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Campus Liaison Officer to join our 14-16 Alternative Provision team at Bradford College.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional student support and engagement services, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and supporting students, ensuring a smooth transition into the college environment
- Maintaining a visible and approachable presence on campus, fostering a sense of community and belonging
- Collaborating with teaching staff to deliver enrichment activities and promote student engagement
- Providing guidance and support on safeguarding concerns, referrals, and welfare matters
- Responding to issues related to student behavior and welfare, working closely with support staff to develop effective behavior management strategies
- Ensuring high expectations and standards concerning compliant behavior and behavior for learning, in line with the college's Positive Behavior Policy
- Acting as a first aider and providing emergency care when necessary
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, adhering to college policies and procedures
- Liaising closely with college security and liaison officers to ensure consistent and swift interventions and practices
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of social, economic, and personal factors that present risk to students
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of students' backgrounds and needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
