Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with parents and carers to provide high-quality care and education to children, observing and recording their development and progress.
- Support the Room Leader in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and ensuring that all nursery initiatives are embedded into the room.
- Communicate effectively with parents, responding to their queries and concerns in a polite and professional manner.
- Contribute to the induction of new staff into the room, ensuring consistency of care and high standards are maintained.
- Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and furniture in the room.
- Experience of working in a day nursery as a Nursery Nurse.
- Relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3.
- Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding, and paediatric first aid.
- Valid DBS check.
