Claims Associate

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly determined individual to join our team as a Claims Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with all members of the team and will be exposed to a variety of work, but predominantly acting on behalf of a range of insurance companies and self-insured commercial organisations.
The role will involve assisting on a varied caseload of motor, EL/PL and indemnity large loss cases. This will include carrying out investigations with live defenders and taking witness statements, reviewing and interpreting medical records and medical reports.
The ideal candidate will be able to identify information requirements and secure required documentation/evidence from claimant representatives. They will also be responsible for adhering to reporting and reserving requirements in relation to different client SLAs.
Other key responsibilities will include file management, including initial reports, updating reports and correspondence. The successful candidate will also be required to attend and appear at court and pre-trial meetings, and adhere to court timetables.
Essential Skills and Experience
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of personal injury litigation. The successful candidate will be able to adapt well within a demanding, fast-paced team and will enjoy being challenged by complex legal issues and expanding their knowledge.
