Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Personal Development Assistant to join our team at Cwtch Mawr Home in Rumney, Cardiff.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young adults with complex needs. As a Personal Development Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting their daily activities, additional needs, and personal development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised care to each individual in their daily activities, including personal care, learning, and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each individual.
  • Implement individualised care plans, under the guidance of a supportive senior team.
  • Support individuals during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our individuals, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
Requirements
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and nights if required.
  • A driving license is essential for this role.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £12.15 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for a range of benefits, including a fully paid Induction Training Programme, DBS and Social Care Wales Registration, eligibility for a Blue Light Card, and a Health Plan after probation.
