**Job Title:** Materials Engineer - Surface Technology Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team at Contechs Consulting Ltd. As a Materials Engineer - Surface Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for evolving surface materials and technologies across various vehicle programs to concept and application readiness.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with Materiality Designers, Suppliers, and the wider Bespoke team to develop and implement new surface materials and technologies.
  • Work with the Surface Material Integration team to understand production feasibility of new and existing materials and manufacturing technologies.
  • Develop and implement testing specifications for new materials in the automotive space.
  • Identify and resolve test failures and work with suppliers to re-engineer materials.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience in colour matching of materials and implementation into component technology.
  • Ability to work at pace with Materials Engineering and in-house labs to test new materials.
  • Good communication skills and ability to relate to and communicate at all levels.
  • Proficient in creation of timing plans and programme managing commodity developments.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Experience in the automotive sector.
