Management Accountant - Maternity Cover

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to cover maternity leave and join our finance team in Manchester. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely management accounts, reviewing current systems and processes to bring efficiencies, and preparing and owning balance sheet reconciliations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a complete management accounting service in accordance with company timetables
  • Review and improve current systems and processes to increase team efficiency
  • Prepare and own balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue and expenditure accounting
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support the Financial Controller in preparing year-end statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with FRS102, annual audit, and tax information
  • Provide reliable and accurate financial information to internal stakeholders
  • Manage VAT returns, IOSS sales reporting, and USA Sales Tax registration and reporting
  • Control inventory movement, write-offs, and revaluations, and complete monthly stock reconciliations
  • Contribute to national statistics surveys and other ad-hoc duties
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or QBE
  • Proven experience in a retail management accounts function
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and meet tight deadlines
  • Commitment to growth and development within the finance function
