Repair Technician Volunteer

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Repair Technician Volunteer to join our team at Greener and Cleaner. As a Repair Technician, you will play a vital role in our Repair Cafe, providing repair services to members of the community and promoting sustainable practices.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in repairing general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and wooden items. You will be comfortable working in a customer-facing role and have excellent problem-solving skills. As a team player, you will be able to work collaboratively with our Events Coordinator and other volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the Repair Cafe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide repair services to members of the community at our Repair Cafe
  • Repair general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and wooden items
  • Work collaboratively with the Events Coordinator and other volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the Repair Cafe
  • Promote sustainable practices and reduce waste in the community

Requirements

  • Experience in repairing general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and wooden items
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a customer-facing role and able to communicate effectively with members of the community
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Over 18 years old
