Job Description

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field, as well as teaching certification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent). They will also have proven experience teaching PE at primary or secondary school level, with strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education.

The estimated salary for this position is £28,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will also receive holiday pay and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of sports and activities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that meets national standards.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and performance, providing constructive feedback.
  • Organise and oversee extracurricular sports clubs and school teams.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching PE at primary or secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and health education.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
