Senior HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior HGV Technician to join our team at Scania, one of the world's leading manufacturers of heavy commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on Scania trucks and other heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve technical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification or proven technical experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to actively seek solutions and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements and protocols.
Preferred Requirements:
  • LGV/HGV/PCV licence an advantage.
  • Bus and coach experience an advantage.
  • IRTEC accreditation desirable but not essential, as we have IRTEC courses available.
