Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our HIV Mental Health Team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological care to patients living with HIV.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with HIV-related mental health issues, using evidence-based psychological therapies and models.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including HIV healthcare staff and voluntary sector organizations, to provide holistic care.
- Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare staff on HIV-related mental health issues.
- Conduct research and contribute to the development of best practices in HIV mental health care.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Extensive experience in working with patients with HIV-related mental health issues, including those with complex trauma and comorbidities.
- Strong knowledge of psychological theories and models, including lifespan developmental psychology and psychopathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
