Health and Safety Manager Opportunity

A leading global organisation in the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their HR team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining H&S compliance across the business, ensuring the organisation's H&S policy is delivered effectively, and managing a small team to promote a positive safety culture.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of conducting risk assessments, HSE legislation, and management systems such as OHSAS:18001. You will be commercially aware, have strong project management skills, and be able to build strong working relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders. If you have a passion for developing a culture of Health and Safety within an organisation, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage H&S compliance across the business
  • Develop and implement H&S policies and procedures
  • Lead the Health and Safety team to promote a positive safety culture
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure all areas of the business are suitably risk assessed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant HSE legislation and management systems

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH certified
  • Experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector
  • Extensive knowledge of HSE legislation and management systems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders
