Job Title: PMLD Teacher (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teacher to join our team in Wolverhampton.

As a PMLD Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for students with complex cognitive needs. Our goal is to equip students with skills and confidence for adult life, fostering personal growth and resourcefulness.

  • You will collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families for a holistic approach to education and care.
  • Develop and implement engaging, creative, and sensory-rich learning activities that cater to the unique needs of each learner.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of students' progress and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, including EHCP reviews.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit the individual needs of each student.

This role requires Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, as well as experience working with students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) or severe learning difficulties (SLD).

  • You should have strong knowledge of differentiated teaching approaches and alternative communication strategies.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.

In addition, we require training in Makaton, PECS, or similar communication methods, as well as experience working in a special school or SEN setting.

Salary: £130 - £190 per day.
