Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our building services engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical designs and solutions for a variety of projects across different sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver detailed electrical designs and specifications for projects in healthcare, higher education, science and research, transport, and commercial sectors.
  • Support the development of initial engineering concepts and contribute to the design of engineering solutions and systems within the built environment.
  • Undertake site surveys and investigations to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
  • Inspect installations to review progress, quality, and performance.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a multi-disciplinary building services or engineering consultancy.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as AutoCAD, Amtech, BIM, Relux, Dialux, and IES.
  • Professional qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Working towards or a Member or Associate of Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
  • Clear understanding of electrical building services design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Project leading and client-facing experience is advantageous.
