">We are seeking a UK Waterway Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our consultancy, you will be responsible for managing and delivering exceptional waterway projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry leaders and a tight-knit team committed to driving positive environmental change.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and delivering projects, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in landscape, consultancy, civil/environmental engineering, wetlands, restoration, or ecology. You will also possess qualifications or equivalent experience in environmental science, hydrology, ecology, geology, or similar fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects from concept to delivery, including setting up programs, obtaining permits, and supervising installations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across consultancy and operations, with travel to some of the most incredible landscapes nationwide.
- Conduct site investigations in and near waterways, producing technical designs, cost estimates, and reports.
- Perform topographical surveys and utilise GIS/CAD tools to create impactful designs.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements:
Essential:
- A proven ability to manage and deliver projects, with at least 3 years of relevant experience (landscape, consultancy, civil/environmental engineering, wetlands, restoration, or ecology).
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in environmental science, hydrology, ecology, geology, or similar fields.
- A passionate commitment to environmental solutions.
- A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel.
- Comfortable working in and around water – being able to swim is required.
Desirable:
- A knowledge of river restoration, geomorphology, or hydrology.
- Familiarity with on-site construction and use of plant equipment.
- Drone surveying experience.
- SMSTS/CSCS accreditation.
