New Directions Holding is seeking a versatile and experienced Primary School Teacher to join our team of educators.

We are currently experiencing a high demand for qualified teachers to cover various classes within Primary Schools in Carmarthenshire. As a Primary School Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, covering classes ranging from Nursery through to Year 6. We will match you up with Key Stage preferences as much as possible.

Due to the current climate, our work is quite dynamic, with supply teachers required to cover last-minute absences at times. We also offer long-term placements for those interested.

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.

As a Primary School Teacher, you will have access to outdoor learning spaces and full use of school resources. In the majority of classes, you will have Learning Support Staff to support with the delivery of lessons. During long-term/regular placements, you will also receive in-house training with the schools and benefit from attending Inset and after-school meetings.
