About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on light and heavy goods vehicles, including inspections, diagnostic testing, and repair procedures.
  • Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Proven experience working on a range of vehicles, including LCVs and HGVs.
  • A full manual UK driving licence, preferably with an HGV licence and trailer experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including rotating shifts and occasional weekend work.
