Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthodontic Therapist to join our team at The Rotherham Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to undertake independent clinics and manage treatment plans, while contributing to audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of Dental Nurses and Support Workers, supporting teaching and mentoring, and promoting a learning culture. They will work autonomously, prioritizing their workload and accountable for their professional work.

To excel in this role, you will require a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy or equivalent qualification, along with highly developed specialist knowledge and manual dexterity. Your ability to use a digital intra-oral scanner and analyze data to draw meaningful conclusions will also be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake independent clinics and manage treatment plans
  • Participate in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage a small team of Dental Nurses and Support Workers
  • Support teaching, mentoring, and assessment of students and staff

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy or equivalent
  • Qualified Orthodontic Dental Nurse registered through General Dental Council
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge and manual dexterity
  • Ability to use a digital intra-oral scanner

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
