Transport Planning Consultant

We are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the most recognised engineering consultancies in the UK, experts in Transport Planning and Highways Design. This is an exciting opportunity to join their team in Birmingham and play a key role in the development of their new office.

As a Transport Planning Consultant, you will be responsible for preparing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements, as well as Travel Plans and Travel Plan Coordination. You will also prepare and present technical data and drawings, undertake junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG, and liaise with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities.

You will ensure that all assigned tasks/jobs are delivered on-time and to budget, checking the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members. You will also work collaboratively with the team and proactively support junior staff in developing their technical knowledge.

We are looking for someone with a degree in an applicable subject, such as Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering. You should have 5+ years of experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes, be a Member of Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT), and have working experience/understanding of ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
