**Mandarin Language Specialist Role**

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with exceptional Mandarin language skills to join our team of Language Specialists. As a Mandarin Language Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping to safeguard the UK by applying your linguistic expertise to identify nuances and gather key information from spoken and written materials.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Apply your knowledge of Mandarin language and culture to contextualize and make information accessible to others
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to direct projects and drive investigations
  • Contribute to operational work, including translation, interpretation, planning, casework, and training

**Requirements:**

  • A strong motivation and commitment to work for the UK intelligence agencies
  • A high level of knowledge of the Mandarin language and ability to pass language tests
  • Excellent written English and good knowledge of Chinese culture, history, religion, and politics
