About the Role

The Economist is seeking a highly skilled Senior Designer to join its Marketing Brand Design team. This role will play a key part in creating visually compelling marketing assets for Economist Impact Events and supporting The Economist's other business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a range of marketing materials, including digital and print ads, social media posts, event promotions, and websites, that meet and exceed marketing expectations.
  • Collaborate with copywriters to conceptualise and develop bespoke visuals for campaigns.
  • Present design rationale with confidence to peers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure brand identity is upheld across all marketing communications.
  • Lead projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A graphic design degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 7+ years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or advertising.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Good eye for typography, photography, and layout.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
