Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Cardiac Intensive Care



We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Cardiac Intensive Care team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and young people with complex cardiac conditions.



Main Responsibilities:




  • Provide expert clinical care to patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of cardiology and intensive care
  • Assess and manage complex cardiac conditions, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols


Requirements:




  • Registered as a non-medical prescriber
  • Minimum of masters in Advanced Clinical Practice with a recognised Higher Education Institution
  • Demonstrable evidence of embedding ACP into clinical practice
  • Skills training relevant to the role, including paediatric cardiac intensive care
  • Experience of working in a children's healthcare environment
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
