Cargo Inspector

The role of a Cargo Inspector with Intertek involves performing volume and temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, and reporting to ensure the accuracy and quality of materials during transportation. This includes Crude Oil, Petroleum Products, Petrochemicals, and Petroleum Gases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all work follows agreed procedures as set out in the generic Management system and relevant local Inspection management system documents
- Performing visual observation, volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials
- Attending commodity material movements involving line and tank transfer or displacement, lightering, and loading and unloading
- Communicating and coordinating with terminal, transport, and company personnel to promote the smooth exercise of duties assigned
- Monitoring the availability of supplies needed for the above processes and making any needs known to the Operations Manager
- Verifying and communicating the results obtained and making entries into the appropriate media
