About the Role

The Telegraph is seeking a talented Midweight Designer to join our Visual Storytelling team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and engaging visual stories that showcase our award-winning journalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing visual concepts and designs for digital, print, and motion projects
  • Collaborating with editors, developers, and journalists to brainstorm and storyboard short stories
  • Working closely with other designers to bring stories to life in a short, snappy, and highly visual format
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design and motion graphics
  • Providing design support and guidance to junior designers

Essential Skills

  • Strong portfolio of graphic design and motion graphics projects
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Animate, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Passion for storytelling and current affairs
