Position Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Assistant Mechanical Fitter to become part of our team in Leeds. This position entails assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across various projects, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the high standards of quality and safety that Lionsgate Contractors is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Maintenance: Aid in the installation, upkeep, and repair of mechanical systems, including ductwork, drainage systems, and concrete finishing.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skillful use of hand and power tools for drilling, cutting, and assembling components.
  • Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Inspections: Perform routine inspections and testing of mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Support for Senior Fitters: Assist senior mechanical fitters in executing their tasks, ensuring efficient and timely project completion.
  • Documentation: Record and report any issues or non-conformances to senior fitters or supervisors.
