About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third in Charge to join our Bright Horizons Richmond Day Nursery and Preschool team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to all children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team to provide high-quality care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the day-to-day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe working environment.
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers to support retention and occupancy growth.
  • Ensure commercial success of the nursery by maintaining expenditure inline with FTEs and budget KPIs.
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator.
  • Confident decision maker with experience providing support and leadership to others.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children.
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
