About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport goods across the UK
  • Shunt trailers in the parking lot to ensure efficient loading and unloading
  • Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Ensure accurate and thorough completion of paperwork
  • Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including health, safety, and hygiene protocols
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
  • Effectively manage working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
  • Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
  • Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
  • Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
  • Perform any other duties reasonably required by the company

Requirements:

  • National Insurance Number
  • 1 year experience (minimum) in HGV Class 1 driving
  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK driving license
  • Good level of English
  • Flexibility in starting times
