MPA Coleraine is collaborating with the NHSCT to hire a skilled Band 2 pharmacy assistant.

Job Overview
  • This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate supply of pharmaceutical items to meet customer needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and store all pharmacy items according to departmental procedures, working closely with senior pharmacy assistants, technicians, and pharmacists as needed.
  • Assemble and issue daily ward orders, requisitions, and Bulk Issue lists received through the JAC pharmacy computer system for distribution to wards and other users, maintaining accurate records and communicating with nursing and clinical pharmacy staff as necessary.
  • Assemble and supply IV fluids and procedure pack orders, issuing stock to users via the computer system, maintaining accurate records as required.
Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of £18,093 - £20,687 per annum, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-G) or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or BTEC level 2 Certificate in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff or equivalent qualification.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A full driving license.
