Waste Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Waste Management Specialist to join our team at the Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the relationship with rural communities, including Parish Councils and Borough Councillors, to promote effective waste management practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of waste management principles, including scheduling work programmes, Health and Safety requirements, and materials suitable for recycling. They will also possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively engage with members of the public and provide accurate advice.

As a Waste Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful management, promotion, and publication of the waste collection service. You will also contribute to improving trade waste management practices within the Council.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with rural communities, including Parish Councils and Borough Councillors
  • Develop and implement effective waste management strategies
  • Provide accurate advice and guidance to members of the public
  • Contribute to the improvement of trade waste management practices

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of waste management principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a busy office environment
