Job Role
As a Children's Support Worker, you will work closely with children in care, providing support and guidance in all aspects of their lives. Your day-to-day role will involve assisting with daily routines, organizing social activities, and working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice.
Responsibilities
• Support and safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
• Assist with daily routines, including community and educational settings
• Organize and facilitate social activities
• Transport children and young people as required
• Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
• Offer high levels of supervision and support
Requirements
A minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience working in a child and/or young adult setting is required. All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations. Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND is also essential. A Diploma level 3 in children's and young people, or level 4, is desirable. IND PRI is also required.
