Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Engineer to join our team at Cpl Life Sciences. As a key member of our Bodyshop (BIW) Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting research and development of new engineering technology, methods, and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research within BIW Manufacturing Engineering, focusing on multiple projects aimed at advancing technology from 'Concept Ready' to 'Implementation Ready'.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive innovation and improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement new technologies, methods, and processes to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Work closely with the team to resolve technical issues and improve production equipment and applications.
  • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports and presentations.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong technical expertise and experience in Body in White technologies.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues within a team.
  • Strong report-writing and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in improving production equipment, applications, and introducing new technologies.
Desirable Skills
  • Previous role in engineering or automotive environments.
  • Familiarity with agile working practices and Jira software.
  • Knowledge of other engineering fields such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics.
  • Experience in creating PFMEAs.
