Easthorpe School is a specialist provision dedicated to serving children and young people with complex needs in the East Midlands. Our school provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils to thrive.
We are expanding our team to support the growth of our Lower School provision, catering to pupils aged 7-13 years. Our class sizes are small, with a maximum of 6 pupils, ensuring personalized attention and support.
Our school supports pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Sensory Processing Disorder. We strive to provide high-quality education, adopting a thoughtful and informed approach for each pupil.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Primary SEN Class Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, meeting the complex SEMH needs of our pupils.
You will work closely with the class team to facilitate learning opportunities and promote positive behaviors. Your role will also involve reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met.
Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong basic education to degree level
- Previous successful Primary and SEND teaching experience
- Previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational setting
- Committed to professional development and willing to learn
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work
A friendly and inclusive team who are passionate about improving pupil outcomes. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, cost of which will be met by Easthorpe School.
